The Wimbledon Hawks were proudly the first club in London to start training with women. 2014 saw the formal introduction of a group of dedicated ladies to the Hawker ranks, for training and social outings. By 2015, the Hawkettes had formed and narrowly missed out on the flag in the Grand Final. In 2016, we came back bigger, stronger and louder and took that flag, and had heaps of fun doing it! Since then, the Hawkettes have been going from strength to strength. In 2019 - we are back and better than ever! With a healthy mix of experienced Australians and newcomers from all over Europe, the Hawkettes have built an all inclusive culture, with a focus on togetherness and winning (and learning) the game of footy... with all the socialising and shenanigans thrown in!
